We ran to the roadside to be greeted by hundreds of thousands of people just the same as us waiting eagerly for the race to start. |
Waiting for the train |
The queue for the train was half a mile long and 5 people wide, but we slipped through the guards. |
A slightly distorted View |
Harrogate town centre was flocked by people waiting for the end of the first stage. |
Tourist Merchandise |
Tourists were eager to get their hands on the hats, umbrellas and t-shirts that were being sold at the roadside. |
Cow in the crowd |
I caught this little cow from one of the many different caravan wagons before the race. |
Rooftop View |
These crazy guys had the perfect view of the race up 40ft in the air on the roof of their homes. |
Harrogate skyline |
A slightly zoomed picture of the skyline above me. |
Waiting for the race |
Eagerly waiting to get a picture of the super fast cyclists, who were moments away from the finish. |

The police were on full lookout on the roofs and on the ground. |
20 seconds of lycra |
The race was so fast we hardly saw it but the sheer volume of cyclists was incredible. |
