Barcelona
Just around the corner...
These are the first buildings I photographed in Barcelona, the streets are all fairly packed together but seem spacious it took us around 25 minutes to find our hotel because there were so many little streets and roads to navigate through.
This is a statue that is situated in the centre of the city, behind the masts of boats in the harbour and was taken in the evening when the sun was just starting to set.
I took quite a few photos of boats reflecting on the water but this is my favourite as it is perfectly central and the reflection is perfect.
The Sagrada Familia
We had a guided tour of the Sagrada Familia, a stunning cathedral in the centre of Barcelona, it was designed by Gaudi and was the best part of the visit because it was so incredible even unfinished.
A view from a bridge
This was taken from the bridge between the two (current) tallest towers of the cathedral.
Walking in Spirals
This is one of the extremely tall spiral staircases that we climbed up and down to get to the top of the Sagrada Familia.
Hanging in the gallery
After going round the cathedral we went to a small gallery underneath, these strings had small sandbags hanging off them.
Different walls for different stations
I noticed the underground/tube stations in Barcelona all had different types of stone and decoration which I found strange but intresting.
Art on the street
As we were walking along the harbour there were small structures with art on them inside was information about the work and the artist.
Rambling along
Along La Ramblas there were lots of street artists ding some incredibly beautiful art work which unfortunately I couldn't afford.
Antoni Gaudi
We visited Gaudi Park which was the home and open display of his work the scene was just breath taking and im so glad we went.
Night time harbor
The scenery in the harbour was very modernised but very wonderful to photograph in the dark as it is all fully lit up.
